day 10441: hanging out the window... flirting with the truckers...
Hope everyone had a fantastic Canada Day weekend. I swear, I had a postdated entry, but I can't seem to find it anywhere...
I had a wicked fun weekend. A bunch of us drove the 10 hours to Rumney so that we could climb some fantastically awesome rock.
... oh wow oh wow oh wow...
We made it out alive... all in one piece... sore muscles, bruised and everything else. The highlight of the trip (apart from the climbing, of course...) was hanging out the window, flirting with the truckers... just because we were THAT BORED in the bumper-to-bumper traffic that was the last four hours of our 14 hour drive back...
Other highlights:
~ P1 yelling "ROADTRIP" every 30 seconds into the FRS radio
~ stopping for dinner at East Side Marios after an hour of bumper-to-bumper traffic covering a total distance of 30km... but having a ton of fun, because of the wicked live band they had playing on the patio
~ stumping every other person at the "Name a Cartoon game" even WITHOUT mentioning SpongeBob Squarepants
~ JB radioing NTN "Lie about the MEAT!" just as we were approaching US customs
~ NTN radioing back "What MEAT?"
~ "Ewwwwww... cornbeef hash..."
~ 5.7, 5.8, 5.7 (trad lead by JB), 5.10c ~ Romancing the Stone!!!
~ steaks... steaks... and more steak...
~ half hour approach to the base: "Next time JB says sandals, we bring HIKING BOOTS!"
~ MULTI-PITCH!!! (clippity-do-da) A+ at rope management... D- at rappelling... oops!
